Event photography as a profession has been nearby for decades. But the coming of digital photography has turned the process on its head. Instead of taking the pictures and then running off to a photolab to get them processed and printed it's now potential to capture the image, view it digitally and then print, mount and sell it to the customer in less than five minutes.
